Patan Now and Then 3: Windows Story

This is not a time lapse photography that compares past and present in multiple frames. The past and present both exist at the same time in one single frame. It is not an uncommon scene that one would encounter in Kathmandu alleys. When the parental property is equally split among offsprings, even the beautifully carved window is measured and cut off according to one's rights. Probably, for this sort of attachment to ancestral property, the old heritage is preserved.

Rest, let the picture speak by itself .

Patan Now and Then: 1

Maharani Hiti and Pond, made about 100+ year before by Chandra Shumsher Rana and peripheri. The place remains more or less the same, the hiti (water spout) and the pond is now well maintained by local club. The pagoda styled three storied temple (Bhai Dega: temple) completely changed the structure to dome style now.
